Ellas Otha Bates, as known as "Bo Diddley" suffered a stroke at 12 May 2007, after the show of Council Bluffs, Iowa. And admitted to Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
In November 2007, he backed to his home town of McComb, Mississippi.
But he died of heart failure on 2 June 2008, 01:45 at his own home in Archer, Florida.
He was 79.

In 1950's, he worked with B.B.King, and was a session player of Peacock Recording Co.
He supported T-bone Walker, Amos Milburn and Junior Parker too.
Born in New Orleans on April 23, 1929, and raised in the Fifth Ward.
He grew up on Deschaumes Street in the Sawdust Alley area of relocated Houston, TEX.
In 1978, he backed-up B.B.King again and was a crucial contributor to King's Grammy-winning 1983 album "Blues 'n' Jazz."
